Case Study: Social Media Set-Up for Growing Virtual Assistant Agency

It’s my humble opinion that every single business can benefit from a social media strategy.

Whether you walk dogs on the side, own a restaurant, or manage a multi-million dollar tech company, having a strategy to speak and connect with customers online is incredibly valuable in today’s digital age. It’s shown that brands who dedicate time (and even money) to conversing and sharing with their online audiences are more likely to gain and retain loyal customers. With over 19 million Facebook users in Canada alone, your business is bound to gain more for being present online than not.

So, despite these facts, why do some business owners still avoid the online world?

An expert in her field, my client was preparing to launch as a Virtual Assistant Agency. She had built her business up to the point of needing to hire additional employees, and in her growth strategy, she knew it was time to face the very obvious fact that yes, a social media strategy could assist in this new venture. The only thing was that she really didn’t know where to start, let alone have the desire.

I didn’t blame her. Preparing to launch a new business is a daunting task all on its own. When you add in online marketing platforms that are unfamiliar, it’s even more overwhelming. She needed a solution that was going to save her the time and hassle of figuring it out for herself.

She came to Jackie B. Virtual Assistant for a brand spankin’ new Facebook Page

I could tell from the get-go that she was a real pro and could truly help any business in a big way with her awesome organizational skills. During the consultation, we discussed the goals for her business, the experience she had gained, and why she wanted to scale up. It was obvious that this new Facebook page needed to showcase the proficiency and passion she could bring to her future clients’ businesses, while also telling her relatable story.

I wanted the page to reflect her awesome personality, as well as her dynamite skills

Almost right away, the work began. Over two months, I crafted descriptions, content, and graphics to ensure a successful launch. The branding on the company page was bright and dignified, just like the business owner.

Along with her service offerings, I highlighted her personal and professional stories. It felt necessary to put these front and centre so small business owners could relate to her and find trust in the person they will potentially hire to help in their business.

The page was finally introduced along with her new brand, website, and business operations.

She was set up for success with a custom content calendar and more.

The package she purchased also bought her the freedom to launch the new Facebook page worry-free. She received a custom content calendar with one months worth of content written specifically to highlight her brand, services, and accomplishments. The calendar comes with instructions, helpful resources to help avoid writer’s block, and a system for her to track the page’s followers month to month.

Along with a beautiful new website, she successfully launched her Facebook page and gained 81 followers in less than a month. Pretty darn good for a one-woman show (for now)!
